Legendary franchise The Lord of the Rings will make a debut at IMAX Thailand in May for the celebration of the trilogy's 20th anniversary. The theater has announced on its Facebook page that all three parts will be screened during the course of three weeks, starting next month.
The entire Lord of the Rings series is based on the epic fantasy novel of the same name by J. R. R. Tolkien. The inaugural installment, The Fellowship of the Ring, was first released in 2001 to widespread success and accolades including four wins from the Oscar. Following the first were The Two Towers (2002) and The Return of the King (2003).
