The Thonglor speakeasy that took Bangkok’s drinking scene by storm with the hashtag #Findthelockerroom at Arena 10 in Thonglor is set to close on 1 January 2018.

Owned by four of Asia’s leading mixologists—Colin Chia of Singapore’s Nutmeg & Clove, Hidetsugu Ueno of Tokyo’s Bar High Five, Nick Wu of Taipei’s East End, and Ronnaporn “Neung” Kanivichaporn of Bangkok’s Backstage Cocktail Bar, the bar is hidden behind a row of lockers, and are praised for creating drinks, each of which is crafted around the concept of “past-present-future”.

The bar, as well as other food and drink ventures in Arena 10, is forced to close as the landlord decided to sell the land which will be developed into another real estate. Ronnaporn revealed to us that the future of the bar is still uncertain and all the partners will meet this week to discuss the destiny of #Findthelockerroom. Hopefully, the team will be able to find a perfect location that is suitable to the speakeasy theme.

Before the closure, the bar will host a Christmas-slash-thank-you party on 20 and 21 December where X’Mas-inspired cocktails will be served all night. We will keep you updated regarding the fate of #Findthelockerroom.
