Namsu reopens on Soi Sangchai with a cosy new home above Rangoon Tea House, marking the next chapter for its Shan-focused kitchen and bar. The move brings a more compact setup, with an added sake lounge and an outdoor dining area, keeping the social, late-night feel while shifting the focus further towards drinking and small plates.
The menu is self-described Shan-Izakaya, bringing together flavours from Shan State with lively Japanese bar cooking. Expect small plates, yakitori and grilled dishes, perfect for sharing, with vibrant profiles that move between fermented, smokey and spice-driven. The bar programme expands alongside the food, with a stronger emphasis on sake, highballs, beer and wine.
