The following guide highlights some of the neighbourhood’s standout shopping destinations – outlets that range from cool concept stores to spaces rooted in local craftsmanship. Whether you're visiting for a day or staying the weekend, these spots capture the spirit of Ari: effortless, expressive and ever-evolving.

The shop’s atmosphere reflects the concept behind its curated items, featuring wooden floors, framed photographs and an antique collection. Its exterior is a simple box-like structure with tall windows, allowing natural light to shine through the space.

Specialising in menswear, the store offers a selection of suits, ties and leather shoes, showcasing brands from around the world, including Italy, Japan and Korea. Founded in New York City, perfumier Le Labo picked Ari for its first street-front boutique in Thailand. The store reflects the brand’s identity through a design inspired by the Wabi-Sabi philosophy, which celebrates the beauty found in imperfection. The space features a harmonious blend of ashy red walls and wooden furniture with a Grevillea pine tree as a natural centrepiece.

The boutique presents a range of 18 classic fragrances, each crafted to reveal raw, elemental beauty in an evocative way. From Santal 33 to Thé Noir 29, every scent tells a story. Complementing the fragrances are home scents, skincare and grooming essentials, along with exclusive items from limited collections. Visitors can also enjoy personalised services, including on-the-spot label engraving for perfumes and candles.

Driven by a passion for the charm and cultural value of local shops around the world, the owners of Madbacon drew inspiration from these everyday spaces to create their own version in Ari – a corner shop designed around the concept of a ‘convenience store for today’s lifestyle.’ It feels convivial, with eclectic decorations that don’t follow a specific theme… a mix of casual photos, stackable plastic containers as desks, white tiles and red chairs. But it’s this unorganised mix of decorations that makes the space feel more approachable.

The store is arranged into three distinct zones. The first is the convenience store – a space for everyday essentials, from snacks and candles to vases and stationery. The second zone, called endless used, features a selection of clothing from various brands. The third zone, new space, is designed as a space for conversation and exchange of ideas and comes with a cafe serving signature drinks.

Having previously worked in fashion PR and marketing, the owners bring their experience and understanding of a wide range of products to the store. Drawing on this background, and their personal passions for Japanese culture, they have created a shop designed to feel welcoming and accessible – a place where you can enjoy a regular drop-in while in Ari. The white house adorned with wooden-framed windows has a clean, minimalist aesthetic.

Most of the items in stock follow a smart casual concept, suited to the outlet’s target audience: first jobbers and employers. The clothing is versatile enough to wear to work, on formal occasions or for weekend outings. Importantly, many of the featured brands are Thai, underscoring the store’s commitment to supporting local talent and homegrown design.

Looking to add a touch of green to your home? This shop is a sanctuary for plant lovers – a place where you can find both the flora and a wide variety of pots to put it in. The collection features pots made from diverse materials that include metals, rattan, ceramics, terracotta and terrazzo, all designed with indoor use in mind. Each piece is conceptualised by the owner, who is passionate about making it easier for people, especially beginners, to enjoy planting and caring for greenery in the home.

All of this reflects the concept of an atlas, from which their name is derived. It's about blending Western influences with Thai culture and horticulture, which is why there's a diverse selection of plants well-suited for indoor care.
