The breeze has turned cool and the mood has taken on a congenial warmth, and that means Christmas is upon us. This time of the year, Bangkok is transformed into a magical land with all the Christmas lights and installations. Some of the city’s major landmarks have already started putting up humongous holiday decorations—we’re talking glittering larger-than-life Christmas trees, ribbons in every color, and Santas big or small.

Their tree promotes sustainability and is made out of coconut leaves and the golden nails usually seen on a Thai dancer. Central Embassy has recruited Tokyo-based architectural firm Klein Dytham (KDa) to give a modern take to the Christmas tree. The result is a gigantic reflective tree made of steel and decorated with greenery and foil-wrapped gifts.

This year, ICONSIAM’s illuminated seven-meter-tall Thai-inspired Christmas trees and two gigantic Fantastic Planet figures and a gorgeously adorned Christmas tree are complemented by the ICONIC Multimedia Water Feature fountain on the riverfront promenade, and the interactive Infinity Forest on the seventh floor, where you’ll also get indulge in panoramic views of Chao Phraya River.

Tube Gallery's designers Phisit Jongnarangsin & Saxit Pisalasupongs are recruited to create one of the most bizarre yet awe-inspiring Christmas trees at Kimpton Maa-Lai. Adorned with 600 handmade flowers and 200 meters of hand-sewn ruffles, the Butterfly Effect tree is placed in the hotel's lobby for you to come and appreciate its unique charm that took over 500 hours to construct.

Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok plays host for festive celebrations with European sensibilities throughout December with a series of convivial events and special promotions for guests to savor the year-end happiness.

On Christmas Eve on December 24, traditional performances with the likes of Christmas carols and the Nutcracker ballet will take place in the lobby between 18:00-19:00. You can also watch the ballet performance again on every weekend in December at 14:45-15:45.

The hotel also sets up a grandiose ten-meter-tall Christmas tree luxuriously adorned with green and gold ornaments in the lobby, so you can pop in and take a beautiful shot with it.

Join them in lighting up the 28 Wishes Tree at 28 Chidlom by SC Asset by scanning a QR code for real-time interaction placed on the fence along the street, which is open to all visitors.
