Last night we celebrated the best of the best of the city at our Love Chicago Awards at Carnivale where we honored the best local restaurants, bars, cafés, shops and cultural venues across 37 neighborhoods, as voted on by our readers. We know it's these small businesses that make our neighborhoods—and Chicago—so unique and wonderful and all of you turned up in record numbers to cast your votes for your favorite local spots.
Guests enjoyed cocktails with spirits from William Grant & Sons, beers from Revolution Brewing and wine from Dark Horse Wines while dancing to beats by DJ Timothy, taking crazy pictures in the photo booth and learning more about scenic helicopter tours of the city available from Vertiport Chicago.
In addition to the neighborhood winners, we handed out awards to the top five overall winners who received more votes than any other business in their category across the city. Those winners are:
Most-loved restaurant in Chicago: Arbor
Most-loved bar in Chicago: Simon's Tavern
Most-loved café in Chicago: First Slice Pie Café
Most-loved shop in Chicago: Rep Chi
Most-loved cultural venue in Chicago: Logan Theatre
