Two Avondale restaurants just down the street from each other, Honey Butter Fried Chicken and Parachute, have collaborated on a brand new sandwich. It's called the Parachute Fire Chicken sandwich, featuring fried chicken topped with spicy gouchujang chili sauce, mozzarella, pickled jalapeño and shredded cabbage.
The $10 sandwich is part of the Clucker Collaboration series, which brings chefs from around the city to create a sandwich that showcases their restaurant while also helping a charity. Parachute's charity is Asian Americans Advancing Justice, which works to empower the Asian American community. One dollar from each sandwich sold will be donated to the charity.
If you want to taste the creation, you'll need to visit Honey Butter in the near future. The sandwich will only be available Tuesday, May 24 through Sunday, May 29.
