In addition to brewing tasty beer and hosting one of our favorite brewery tours in Chicago, the folks over at Lagunitas take time out of their busy schedules each year to throw a giant party. This morning, we learned that the Lagunitas Beer Circus will be returning for its third Chicago-based celebration, setting up in the brewery's parking lot (located near Douglas Park) for an afternoon of drinking and entertainment.

Tickets are on sale now, and each paid admission includes a free beer, a Lagunitas souvenir and access to live entertainment, including music, circus sideshow acts and more weird stuff. Attendees will also be able to purchase food truck grub and even more beer to wash it all down with. As usual, all proceeds from the event will benefit a local charity—this year it's PAWS Chicago, an organization that funds no-kill animal shelters in the city (and once put Billy Corgan on the cover of its magazine).

If you're ready for an afternoon of wacky fun, mark your calendars for September 10 (from noon to 5pm) and start putting together your circus-themed costume.
