Chicago's midweek Fourth of July celebration didn't allow stormy weather (and the fact that some of us had to go to work today) to put a damper on the festivities. The sky was filled with sparkling bursts of color last night, as truckloads of fireworks were launched into the air from alleyways, parks and streets. Many gathered at Navy Pier, in Winnemac Park and on the streets of Pilsen to watch the show, but you didn't have to venture far to hear the loud booms reverberating through the night.
