1. Set in a small Indiana town, Ike Holter’s new play The Light Fantastic “knows how to scare you out of nowhere and how to ratchet up the tension till you burst,” according to critic Alex Huntsberger. See it tonight at Broadway Armory Park at 8pm—tickets are $30.

2. Nigerian artist Otobong Nkanga uses drawings, tapestries and a collage of scents to explore Africa's mining industry in her Museum of Contemporary Art show “To Dig a Hole That Collapses Again.” Admission is $15 and the museum if open from 10am to 9pm.

3. Inspired by a title suggested by the audience, the Improvised Shakespeare Co. come up with an Elizabethan play on the spot, complete with the period-appropriate language and plenty of laughs. The show begins at 8pm at iO Theatre and tickets are $16.
