July 14 is Bastille Day, but you don't have to be at the Eiffel Tower or strolling down the Champs-Élysées to enjoy it. Chicago has plenty of great French restaurants, and some of them are celebrating with food and drink specials. Toss back some bubbly and say "bon appetit!" while slurping $1 oysters or indulging in a full French feast at these Chicago restaurants.
A gluten-free menu is the star of Bastille Day at Bistronomic. From July 13-19, Bistronomic will serve up a three-course, gluten-free dinner for $39 as a remembrance to when grain was scarce in France before the French Revolution. Dishes include beef tartare and salmon.
Chez Moi will celebrate Bastille Day with a brunch prix fixe from 10:30am-3pm July 12-July 14. The prix fixe is $17.89 per person and a bottomless mimosa deal can be added for $14.99. The meal includes French toast, steak frites and creme brulee. Dinner will be served after 5pm and includes beef bourguignon and grilled salmon nicoise salad.
