Portugal. The Man are the latest headliners announced for Zagreb's INmusic festival. This band's grandiose rock fuses soulful vintage psych-pop with hectic modern production. With its latest album, Woodstock, Portugal. The Man has ambitious plans: to address the 'avalanche of flaming biohazard material sliding down a mountain of used needles into a canyon full of rat faeces' that constitutes our contemporary political moment.
Other confirmed acts include Nick Cave, Queens of the Stone Age, David Byrne, The Kills and Skunk Anansie.
One of the most popular rock festivals in the region, INmusic has put Zagreb definitively on the music map. Each year organisers coax the best modern rock bands, cult heroes and world musicians to Lake Jarun, a beautiful venue on the outskirts of the capital.
