The New Olds: Design between Tradition and Innovation

Showcasing 60 furniture displays by 45 designers, the exhibition explores the relationship of traditional designs in modern furniture applications. Inspired by tradition and innovation, this travelling exhibition from Germany features works that revolve around the themes of material, construction, configuration, production and traditional use. There will also be a workshop and art talk titled ‘Beyond Borders’ that aims to bridge similarities between Malaysian and global culture. Conducted by designers Laura Bernhardt and Daniel Juric, the session will take place on Thursday, Feb 6 from 10am to 12.30pm. Admission for both the exhibition and workshop is free.
