Ganjam - Odissi

After a debut in September 2015 that received critical praise, ‘GANJAM’ returns to the stage once again, this time in Auditorium DBKL before setting out on their national and international tour. Odissi is one of the eight classical dance forms in India, and this production is a tribute to the culturally rich region of Odisha where it originated, and the people who have kept its spirit alive. The production was first commissioned by Sutra Foundation to Guru Gajendra Panda and Dr Dinanath Pathy, who drew inspiration from the folk dances and musical traditions of Ganjam, a district in Odisha where they are both from.
