Watch 'The Curse of Serawan', the Asian Media Award-winning documentary by R.AGE at this Urbanscapes screening. The film documents an orang asli settlement in the Royal Belum State Park, where a reported high number of child deaths stem from a mysterious disease known to locals as 'serawan' (later found to be herpangina). After the screening, join the Q&A session with orang asli activists, researchers and the journalists who produced the documentary. The Orang Asli Development Department (JAKOA) and the Perak State Health Department will also be present during the session.
