Sarod star Soumik Datta sets a new score to the 1969 Indian arthouse classic by the great filmmaker Satyajit Ray, ‘Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne’. ‘King of Ghosts’ blends Indian folk rhythms and rich orchestral textures in a true meeting of east and west, as scenes from the fantasy film are projected above the musicians onstage.
