Time Out says

The KL Oyster Festival returns for more shucking fun this Sunday May 14 at Bangsar's Southern Rock Seafood. From the classic French Fine de Claire to Ireland’s premium Gallagher Specials, the festival presents an impressive range of oysters.

Events include oyster tastings from RM5, seafood barbecue, champagne sets, as well as live performances from celtic fusion band the Fariq Auri Trio, percussionist Lewis Percasa, and poetry readings from Irish poet Cat Brogan. Plus, the finals of the Great Malaysian Shuck Off competition to determine Malaysia’s national shucking champion, who will go on to compete in the world championship.

Junior and friends are also welcome as there will be entertainment for the kids, as well as gelato from Jersey Jack Gelato. If you need a break from all the oysters and mussels, make a stop at the Jalan Kemuja Street Party for food from restaurants along the Kemuja strip (Southern Rock Seafood, Fierce Curry House, La Bodega and Dr Inc).
