Instead of having blinged out 'international' fare to ring in the New Year, have a Japanese meal at Manmaru instead. Start with the salmon tataki (pan-seared salmon with salsa sauce), unagi korokee to yuzu miso (deep-fried eel croquette with citrus miso sauce) and haruki to tartar sauce (soft-shell crab salad roll with tartar sauce). Move on to assorted sashimi and foie gras volcano roll before having your main course, sakana kami yaki (grilled salmon with mixed herbs). After tucking into passion Innaniwa (modern Innaniwa udon), have winter tiramisu as dessert.
