Malaysia Women Marathon

Good news for female runners who take their marathon trainings seriously: The Malaysia Women Marathon (MWM) is planning to have the running route certified by the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF), in addition to the sanction by the Selangor Amateur Athletic Association and Malaysian Athletic Federation. What this means is that the race will be a qualifying race with accurate course distance. The MWM has introduced two children’s categories too – 2.5km and 5km – where the top 15 timings will be recorded and presented on a certificate.
