In this dual-language play, three pairs of people – two non-Muslims, two Malays, a Chinese boy and a Malay girl – are locked in a heated debate over various religious matters, from the forbidden usage of the word ‘Allah’ by non-Muslims to Hudud law and interracial marriage. Meanwhile, two Muslim ladies try to handle the situation by extending the hand of friendship to each party. The Islam Dilemma is performed 70 percent in Malay and 30 percent in English.
