James White: Bodies

James White’s photo-surreal paintings trick the mind on many levels. In re-creating his own colour photographs in black and white in a highly photorealistic style, yet adjusting the composition he not only impresses through pure skill but also adds another layer to the work. Crystal glasses represent bodies in this exhibition as they sit on reflective surfaces and throw light.
