Sarah Raphael

To coincide with the launch of Raphael’s biography, this retrospective includes paintings and works on paper from the early 1980s until shortly before the artist’s untimely death in 2001. This exhibition seeks to mark the various changes that Raphael’s work underwent during the course of her short but prolific career – notably the switch from portraiture to the series of canvases inspired by the Australian outback, circa 1995.
