To celebrate the centenary of the birth of twentieth-century writer and illustrator Mervyn peake, the British Library are running an exhibition (Jul 5-Sep18) of their Peake archives, as well as a series of events. Tonight's features an exclusive first ever reading of 'Titus Awakes' – the fourth addition to Peake's best known series, 'Gormenghast', which was written by his wife Maeve from numerous notes left by Peake. The fourth book was recently discovered in the attic by their son Sebastian, who appears tonight alongside the fine fantasy fiction writer Miéville.
