A butoh film night on a boat. The River Princess, currently off the water and parked on land at Cody Dock, hosts a regular film night, which this month is dedicated to butoh films by SU-EN Butoh Company, Carolina Diaz and Adrian Shephard, plus archive footage and interviews. Butoh, for the uninitiated, is a Japanese movement form with no set steps or technique that is usually recognised by its use of ultra-slow and super-controlled movement, white body paint and intense emotional states.
