Shadows of War

A triple bill of dance about war from Birmingham Royal Ballet, beginning with 'La Fin du Jour' by Kenneth MacMillan, an elegy to a lost 1930s lifestyle. Accompanying it is 'Miracle in the Gorbals', re-created for BRB by Dame Gillian Lynn and set to music from Sir Arthur Bliss and 'Flowers of the Forest' by David Bintley which contrasts Scotland's beauty with its bloody history.
