The world is overflowing with chunky French electro right now, but David Grellier, AKA College, favours the lo-fi, 8-bit approach to electro and sounds much more appealing as a result. It's a sound heavily influenced by '80s pop culture from the US, which led to the lush, dreamy College track 'A Real Hero' being used on the soundtrack to cult flick 'Drive', shortly before card-carrying mute dreamboat Ryan Gosling batters another person to death. Still, great music, though.
