Daphna Sadeh and The Voyagers

Accomplished female double bassist Sadeh mixes folkloric Mediterranean/Jewish music with modal jazz to hypnotic effect. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, she earned her stripes with Israel-based band East-West Ensemble, touring internationally for seven years before forming her own group. Playing ambitious and otherworldly music, the band also features Stewart Curtis (woodwind), Ronen Kozokaro (drums and percussion), Yair Schleider (accordion) and Cevann Horrocks-Hopayian (vocals and Celtic harp).
