David Preston + Mark Crooks

Superb but underrated modern jazz guitarist Preston is an assured, Metheny-esque soloist in his own right, and has worked with the likes of Ian Shaw. Here he leads his own band, which includes brilliant flautist Gareth Lockrane. Saxophonist and clarinettist Crooks takes the early set.
