Best known for his brilliantly versatile sideman stints with Soweto Kinch, Amy Winehouse, The Roots and Courtney Pine, Temowo is a post-Wes Montgomery style guitarist who headlines this month's Jazz In The Round. Bringing together his knowledge of Yoruban music's softly sung vocals and chants with his sly take on cool-strutting modern jazz, Temowo's music sounds refreshingly hip and effortlessly accessible. Leading improv trombonist Brand and Leo Richardson play the early sets.
