Gwyneth Herbert/Buck Clayton Legacy Band

Trumpet-led hard swinging mainstream jazz drawn from the illustrious legacy of one time Count Basie sideman, Clayton, who died in 1991. This talent-heavy band celebrates his centenary by performing some previously undiscovered music, re-arranged and presented by broadcaster/bassist Alyn Shipton and featuring the beautiful tones of singer Herbert, here evoking the vocal style of Peggy Lee.
