Soundcrash Presents... DOOM

Everybody has an opinion on DOOM. The contraversial, shadowy, charismatic rapper has an ability to get tongues wagging with seemingly every project he undertakes, but whatever your view, he's got a solid track record and a legion of fans behind him. Tonight, the plan is a set of material from his JJ DOOM project (a collaboration with Jneiro Jarel), but as with all DOOM shows, expect the unexpected. Also featuring on a very strong bill is one of UK hip hop's slickest and most experienced names, the dub-deep Rodney P, while holding up the new school of UK hip hop is Yungun, performing live with former Scratch Pervert Mr Thing. More live action comes from from Thunderbird Gerrard and Lazy Habits, and DJ Kutmah is also well worth a look. Unlikely to be a bigger hip hop lineup anywhere in the UK tonight, which kind of says it all.
