Louche teen trio peddle their melancholic boy-girl sophistico-pop, as on recent (self-titled) debut album, out on Young Turks, which reveals them as kindred spirits of Mazzy Star and The Cure, but also fans of dubstep and R&B. Equally artfully awkward – but decidedly more oddball – support from Southend's precocious TNP, whose latest LP, 'Hidden', reveals them as au fait with Benjamin Britten, Liars, Pentangle, Caravan and Virgin Prunes.
