Coptic Sacred Choral Music

The St Kyrel Choir and Orchestra present a rare opportunity to hear Coptic (Egyptian Christian) sacred music in a concert setting. This music, sung in the Arabic quarter-tone scale, has remained unchanged since the early days of Christianity and is possibly the most authentic form of early Christian worship. The beautiful and haunting music depicts the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. (In aid of the St Kyrel Trust for impoverished Egyptian students.)
