The Protecting Veil / Tavener Celebration

Cellist Matthew Barley joins City of London Sinfonia at 7pm for his arrangements of Jobim and Piazzolla, plus the meditative ‘Protecting Veil’ for cello and strings that brought the late Sir John Tavener to popular attention. Followed at 9.30pm by a concert of Tavener’s choral music from the Holst Singers directed by Stephen Layton.
