Journalist Tim Walker has had an odd career trajectory: a gossip columnist, diarist and theatre critic for the Sunday Telegraph, he seemed pretty much in keeping with that paper’s politics, but after parting ways with the paper he reemerged as a darling of the #FBPE generation, popular on Twitter as a scourge of Brexit’s various foibles. And now he’s written a play! ‘Bloody Difficult Women’ compiles Walker’s various interests to serve as a drama about activist lawyer Gina Miller, who in 2016 took Theresa May’s government to court to force them to consult parliament before triggering Article 50, which formally began Britain’s withdrawal from the EU. It’s directed by Stephen Unwin, with Amara Karan as Gina Miller and Jessica Turner as Theresa May.
