1. It’s Christian Slater!
One of the most charismatic Hollywood stars of his generation and star of some of the greatest films of the ’80s and ’90s – ‘Heathers’, ‘Pump Up the Volume’, ‘True Romance’ – Christian Slater tore up the West End a decade ago in ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ and ‘Swimming with Sharks’. With his screen career rising high again thanks to his Golden Globe-winning turn in the hit TV show ‘Mr Robot’, he’s finally back, in the biggest celebrity turn of the West End season. 2. ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ is a stone-cold, edge-of-seat classic.
David Mamet’s testosterone-saturated drama about a group of desperate, competitive real estate agents locked in mortal battle with each other was praised to high heaven when it premiered back in the ’80s. It’s a funny, brutal, sad rollercoaster ride that feels more relevant than ever in the age of Trump.

3. It has an amazing Brit cast.
Anyone who’s seen the film version – which starred Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Kevin Spacey, Ed Harris and Jonathan Pryce – will know ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ is a vehicle for seriously heavyweight actors. So alongside Slater as smooth-talking Ricky Roma, this production features a constellation of British talent: Stanley Townsend will play Roma’s ageing rival Shelley ‘The Machine’ Levene, alongside Kris Marshall as unpopular middle manager John Williamson, Robert Glenister as the permanently angry Dave Moss, and Don Warrington as almost-sympathetic sadsack George Aaronow.

4. It starts NEXT MONTH.
No long lead times for Sam Yates’s production – the first performance is October 26. So there’s no hanging around – this is happening soon: get your tickets fast or miss out.

5. Time Out is the priority seller until Friday.
It couldn’t be easier to get your tickets for the next four days, as Time Out readers are getting first dibs on this must-see event. Treat yourself to the best seats in the house or pay as little as £15 to see Christian Slater let rip.

Glengarry Glen Ross’ is at the Playhouse Theatre, Oct 26-Feb 3 2018. Buy priority tickets at timeout.com/glengarry.
