Using the power of film and art, the ‘Fighting Stigma through Film’ PSVI festival aims to tackle the discrimination and stigma faced by survivors of sexual violence in conflict.
The festival is hosted by the Foreign Office with guest of honour United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’ Special Envoy Angelina Jolie. You’ll be able to watch over 35 films and documentaries from 14 countries including Syria, Burma and Nigeria. Plus, over two thirds of the filmmakers and producers are women. There’ll also be a world premiere for Leslie Thomas’ film ‘The Prosecutors’, which highlights the battle for justice that many survivors face.
Besides film screenings, there'll be an array of workshops, installations and exhibitions to help raise awareness. Free entry to event, but you'll need to book tickets here.
