Ever wondered what the moon smells like? Gunpowder apparently. This late night opening will offer visitors a chance to see the exhibition after dark and to attend talks by artists and space specialist. Speakers include We Colonised the Moon, who have collaborated with astronaut Charlie Duke to create a scratch and sniff of the moon, and Tomas Saraceno, whose on-going project Air-Port-City imagines a network of biospheres in the sky. Space medicine expert Kevin Fong, space politics specialist Jill Stuart and space scientist Lucie Green will bring the discussions back down to earth. A live score by London based improvisation band Orchestra Elastique will accompany a screening of Georges Méliès ‘A trip to the Moon’. Book tickets online in advance. The exhibition runs from 11am-6pm Friday January 10 until Sunday February 2.
