More than 400 animals are housed at this Hertfordshire zoo, and thanks to the availability of specially prepared feed bags that visitors can purchase, many of them can be seen at very close quarters. You might not want to get quite that close to the big cats, but the ability to see so many of them – including white tigers and lions, Amur and Sumatran tigers, snow leopards, cheetahs and ocelots – is a rare treat. There are five adventure playgrounds, gardens, a railway and an adventure golf course on site too, as well as three eating options.
