Anyone for tea? There won't be any mugs or chocolate Hobnobs at this party in the Charles Dickens Museum's walled garden; it's a Victorian high tea featuring treats from Catherine Dickens's cookbook 'What Shall We Have for Dinner?'. While you sip and nibble you'll hear more about the history of afternoon tea and the world of the Dickens family before playing some specially devised period parlour games. Once the teacups are cleared guests will be sent into the family townhouse with a glass of champagne for a private view. Booking essential.
