[title]London is full of potential experiences. You want incredible food and drink? We’ve got that covered – it’s a city of global cuisines. It’s a spot of luxury you’re after? We can do that too: there are plush hotels and upmarket bars all over the place. Spectacular views and unique capital city experiences? Obviously. World-class culture like art and theatre? Well, that happens to be our speciality.
There are amazing things to do, see, eat, drink and enjoy everywhere in the city – though there are only a few places where you can do all of the above basically at once. One of those places is South Bank, London’s riverside hub of culture and fun.
To showcase everything the South Bank has to offer, we’re currently running a competition where one lucky winner will see the best of London, all via the South Bank. Up for grabs in this package are sightseeing, theatre and art gallery passes, as well as brunch and cocktails – it’s basically like winning tickets to the best day ever.
You’ll begin with a two-course brunch for you and a guest at fabulous Skylon – a modern European restaurant at the Southbank Centre, where you can choose from dishes like indulgent Eggs Royale and ham hock terrine – obviously accompanied by bottomless Prosecco or Bordeaux.
From there, you’ll get your culture fix, browsing 'Tavares Strachan: There Is Light Somewhere' at the Hayward Gallery, where you’ll be able to take in immersive artworks that reflect on unsung cultural heroes, and then you’ll move on to one of London’s most recognisable landmarks: the lastminute.com London Eye.
You’ll be able to see the entire city from above with fast-track tickets, spotting iconic sights like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and St Paul’s Cathedral! Following your ride, naturally, it’ll be time for your cocktails and nibbles experience for two at OXO Tower.
In the OXO Tower bar – a truly lovely spot from which to while away an hour or two mid-afternoon – you’ll enjoy two cocktails per person (we’re big fans of the Lemon Drop and Southside Spritz if you need some tips), accompanied by three delectable snack pairings each. And to finish off your Big Southbank Day Out, you’ll end with tickets to Witness for the Prosecution – the live Agatha Christie adaptation, staged in a real courtroom at County Hall – which is a package that includes two Band A tickets, two drinks vouchers and two programmes.
