If the plot – the gang take a road trip and stop off at a mysterious motel – sounds threadbare, then so what? And if Pixar’s newer cinematic concepts haven’t quite fired, who cares? The ‘Toy Story’ trilogy is a marvel of animation and storytelling, its characters engaging and well worth a reprise. ‘Toy Story of Terror’ may only be half an hour long. But, if the standards of its predecessors are maintained, then this could be one of the funniest, warmest half-hours of telly you’ll see this year.
