French graffiti artist André Saraiva collabs with the MOCA Grand Ave to bring Angelenos an unmissable music-meets-street-art installation. Starting August 8, the MOCA Grand Ave lobby will feature a mesmerizing graveyard of show posters, featuring epic lineups of past concerts, including the Beach Boys, Phoenix and the Beastie Boys. The worn posters will inspire a sense of nostalgia and longing for shows gone by, only until you realize that they're actually paintings of lineups that only exist in André Saraiva's imagination. His "dream concerts," if you will. Legendary nonetheless, the exhibit will be on view until October 7. What would your dream concert be?
