Founded in 1989 by Shaun Caley Regen and her late husband Stuart Regen, the son of famed NYC dealer Barbara Gladstone, Regen Projects helped launch the next wave of new contemporary art that has since defined the LA scene. With solo exhibitions by such art world heavyweights as Matthew Barney, Anish Kapoor, Elizabeth Peyton, Richard Prince, and Wolfgang Tillmans, as well as shows by cutting-edge local talent, it is no wonder the gallery has remained a vanguard for 25 years. Now housed in a sprawling new space on Santa Monica Boulevard designed by Michael Maltzan, Regen has a capacity for even more ambitious shows... don’t miss out.
