Today's generation of young adults carries an unparalleled allegiance to Nickelodeon, coupled with nostalgia for the channel's irreverently funny 1990s programming—shows like Rugrats, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Doug and Salute Your Shorts (there are some who would petition for Spongebob's inclusion as well). Iam8bit is paying homage to the influential channel with an exhibit featuring paintings, prints, plush and sculptures by more than 60 artists depicting familiar characters, things and places. Don't miss the opening night extravaganza: Listen to live tunes by DJ Lance of Yo Gabba Gabba! and check out a photo playset and super-sized animated GIF theater. And, of course, no Nick event would be complete without slime! More than 500 guests are already signed up to attend, so be sure to RSVP online.
