This creatively titled exhibit was inspired by a thought-provoking question New York-based artist and floral designer Shubuck overheard a teenage boy asking his friend. She realized how much the present borrows from the past, repurposing it to make it seem new. The resulting solo exhibition of new works marks her first collaboration with Taylor De Cordoba as well as the gallery's grand re-opening in its new location. Check out the space while browsing her energetic works; the colorful, complex and almost childlike pieces utilize paper, pencil, crayon and paint to render floral and plant life. Her collaging of old drawings, antique photographs and lithographs into the new works represents the theme by embracing the past.
