Give your literary legs a stretch at this free, three-day conference at the Central Library's Mark Taper Auditorium. A series of LA-centric lectures, readings and discussions will span the long weekend, on topics such as the relationship between LA literature and landscape; the ways in which our city's writers sustain a community; and the effects of LA nativity, naturalization and exile on contemporary writers. The dedicated scribe's beverage of choice, Coffee by Kofi, will be available for sale in the auditorium lobby. Attendees are encouraged to stay for as many sessions as they’d like, so caffeinate yourself appropriately, and plan to stick around. Seating at each session is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
