Time Out says

A comprehensive overview of the works of Ray K. Metzker, one of the most influential American photographers of the last half century. Using such experimental techniques as high-contrast printing, multiple exposure and composite images, Metzker creates photographs that exude formal elegance and technical precision while also exhibiting a deep human regard for the objective world. This exhibition covers Metzker's five-decade career, while also providing examples of work by instructors and fellow students at the Institute of Design in Chicago, where Metzker studied from 1956 to 1959. Nearly 200 photographs, as well as lectures and a performance inspired by the photographer's own musical influences.
