What’s on

Native Plant Festival

The largest native plant garden in California is hosting a free, family-friendly event to teach about the beauty, variety and resiliency of native plants and how to protect them. Dozens of regional nonprofits, landscapers and agencies will be on hand as resources, plus there’ll be live music, storytime, crafts, a local artisan market, food trucks and more. Another reason to make the trek to Claremont: Amid wildflower season, the botanical garden a reliable place to spot perennials. Find California poppies, chick lupine, desert globemallow, island morning glory and more along the picturesque trails.
