You can explore exhibits on the natural and cultural history of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, but this spot's real treasure is its stunning vista of the Pacific. You could roll out a blanket on the limited grassy areas, but we suggest snagging a picnic table as close to the seaside cliff as possible. The Interpretive Center's small amphitheater is the perfect spot to sit, snack, chat and watch whale migrations.

Beautiful place. Walk here all the time and enjoy browsing in the Interpretative Center. It's also a great place to have a picnic. There are sparkling clean bathrooms in the Center if you need them during your walk.
There's no shortage of amazing view points along Palos Verdes Drive, but this is by far one of the most accessible spots. Just pull into the parking lot and you're there, atop a cliff overlooking the ocean. I love the view of the lighthouse and the short trails. The Interpretive Center is a great spot to just sit and have a snack.
Point Vincente Interpretive Center is such a cool place. During whale migration season, if you wait long enough, you'll definitely see whales passing by in the waters below. There are telescopes to help you see better too. There's a grass area that's perfect for picnicking. And once you're done being in the sun, you can head inside to learn about the area's beloved Orky and Corky.
